Common Yellowthroat 20110906

I got in a little birding while our granddaughters rode their bikes in Hawks's Bluff Park, a few doors from their home in Batavia, Kane County, Illinois. The park has many old and massive second-growth oak trees with lots of broken branches and knot holes. I love the texture of the bark. There were many pewees and robins, but few other migrants.
