everything has been totally chaotic for me lately. i was woken up this morning by a phone call from a woman named Kate, who'd seen mine and Aaron's Amateur Photographer magazine interview and wanted to interview me. She works for a press agency, getting stories together for the national newspapers! She then put me through to Nina who does the same thing but for magazines like heat, closer and reveal. They sent photographer Matt over to my house a few hours later and got some pictures of me for it - so in a couple of days we might be in some newspapers! Very crazy. It's great exposure which I'm incredibly thankful for, but also terrifying because I'm well aware of backlash associated with these things and the consequences of becoming involved with the media.
I finished school forever last Thursday and immediately jetted off to Paris for a photoshoot commissioned by the most lovely couple ever: Rene and Chris. They were so much fun, we got some amazing shots which I'll post to the blog later! Paris was so amazing. The atmosphere there was phenomenal, everyone was laidback, happy and friendly - people were singing and dancing everywhere I went, I felt like I was in a musical at times! Another thing that surprised me was how healthy everyone was, there were hardly any overweight Parisians which I found very interesting. You could hire out bikes as a form of public transportation which is such a good idea, take note UK government!!!
So I got back from Paris on Monday, and have a couple of client shoots lined up for this week. I also have to start revising like crazy because it's my first a-level exam on the 4th! BUT i am going to try really hard to post reguarly on flickr now, I've taken a good long break and I feel ready to go! I'm starting a new series very soon which I'm reeeally excited about.
How are you flickrites!? Has anyone had their exams yet? Fill me in!
