0604 Lennox Bridge 07

If you're a quilter, this sandstone makes your heart sing (well, it does if you're me). When the light catches structures of sandstone, it's beautiful, warm, has an indescribable glow. In Melbourne, where bluestone is used, or Dublin with granite, the old buildings just don't do the same thing as places like the Lands building and the Department of Education building in Sydney.

Australia's second-oldest bridge, built in the 1830s. More info with the first photo of this group.
