SoCal is not known for it's many cloudy days. So it is a rare occurrence when you get a good cloudy day and the clouds actually last until sunset. This last Wednesday, we had some awesome clouds. So my buddy Hector and my buddy Steve and I, decided to go shoot a sunset somewhere. We were thinking about one of our favorite secret beaches but we decided to try a new one they had recently been too. Victoria Beach is fairly well known among residents of Laguna Beach as being in a community full of very expensive houses. That is 100% correct. Impressed and awed by the mansion we walked right by going down to the beach I looked it up and found out it had recently sold for $25,000,000. That is crazy!! Needless to say the beach here was quite beautiful and I think we all got some great shots. The sunset did not last long. The light and color pretty much disappeared once the sun was below the horizon. We shot on anyway, increasing our exposure to pull the light and color out of the sky or focusing on the actual rocks and surf. It was night before we started trekking back up to where I had parked. We were tired but had all gotten some great shots. It was nice to get out and shoot a sunset again. It has been too long. I kinda felt rusty.
Please, if you mark it as a favorite, take a moment to comment on it as well.
