March 13 (petals from the backyard)

"He unbuttoned his shirt and let it fall behind him to the bathroom floor. Then he ran the water in the sink. The crude oval of the basin was smooth and beautiful in the gray light. He touched the almost homogeneous whiteness with his fingertips and breathed in the water odors and the subtle stink rising from the throat of the waste pipe. Unexpected intrusions of beauty. This is what life is." – Saul Bellow

Wonderful. We had some tulips which lost their petals recently and I didn't know what to do with them. Oh for this idea a week ago :)

seeing these bring back song lyrics that make me think of my sweetie:

...(she's my) breeze in the pines in the summer night moonlight..."

    Thanks!

Yes, the tape is what makes this shot stand out (and stick up!) Very finely done. The Bellow quote's great, too.

    Magnolia?

The tape makes it because it's so unexpected. And it seems to signify the determination to hold on to transient intrusions of beauty a little longer.
