haha just realised this is loch ossian.... i once got stranded in there when the last train never came. long story but it was in the middle of winter and i'd walked the three munros round the loch with the dog. it was freezing cold, deer standing in the middle of the frozen loch etc and the snow was coming down. was fairly comfortable in the fact that i had to sleep over and get the next train out but thought i'd better get a call home via the sos phone on the line to let them know i was ok so that my mates in the rescue team didn't turn up as i would never had heard the end of it (they did get an alert ). after speaking with scot rail they got the police to phone and they took a few details to make a call for me but they went one better and rang the stalker at Ossian lodge. ended up staying the night down there and me and the mutt ate as much venison as you could shake a stick at in front of a roaring stove. i didn't want to leave the following day!

Doug Collinson haha....great story Doug. I'll bear that in mind because I intend doing a few winter shoots up there. It did cross my mind what to do if the return train doesn't turn up. Now I know.
