Wild Burro braying in Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. These burros are the progeny of animals originally brought to the Las Vegas area in the late 1800s and early 1900s by prospectors, ranchers and cowboys. Today, nearly a dozen bands of burros roam free inside Red Rock Canyon, all self-segregated by the color of their coats.
