These are some of the results of the hours packed into the title page and the chapter titles in my new book. They may be of interest.
I have been sequestered in the Rockies out of the reach of Wifi. That's a two-edged sword. I have been continuously working on my new book on DVD, Digital Photography. Some of the book was purloined from earlier work but it is now approaching 670 pages. Generally, it is difficult to generate more than two or three pages a day from scratch. Each page requires photographs, illustrations and all the text necessary to put it to bed. When finished, all the contents and indices need to be synced up. Each new chapter needs to be generated to a Linotronic RIP at resolutions from 600 to 2400 dpi and keystoned into the growing Acrobat file. All the links and forms have to be generated in Acrobat to tie a new chapter into the finished Acrobat. The problem of finishing would be easier if it weren't for discovering or inventing new topics to add. The finishing line keeps fading. I guess it is close to getting second opinions and feedback on some of the chapters.
