Sunset and storm, Santa Ynez Valley

I spent most of yesterday scouting around the area north of Santa Barbara, seeing how this year's wildflower season is progressing (slowly, from what I saw). We had some wine to pick up at a nearby winery (Curtis Winery--fantastic wines), and drove around the valley a bit just before sunset as a storm moved in. I love this part of the state, mostly because of the gnarled oaks that dot the gently rolling hills, and this time of year is perfect--there's just a hint of green in the branches as spring approaches, but you can still see all the great detail of those gnarly branches.
