Feral Tabby Cat 01
The rescue group I volunteer with, mainly focuses on TNR of the free-roaming cats in the town I live in. TNR-Trap, Neuter, Return of all "feral" cats. This allows them to live a natural life, spayed or neutered, without adding to the exploding population of free-roaming cats, said to be 500,000-1,000,000 in Connecticut-ALONE.
I've discovered that I have, at least two cats, who hang around my property. I'm going to learn, firsthand, how to trap the cats, transport them to the Vet, and care for them, as unsocialized creatures, for the rest of their lives. They'll have their own weather-proof kitty house in my yard and I'll feed them and make sure they're not injured. I'll never be able to socialize them, as I did with other cats, but they will not have to face being in a cat at a shelter-never getting adopted and eventually being put down because they are unfriendly.
This is the beginning of my story with Feral Tabby 01. She? may be from a known litter that was never trapped, last summer. Looks about a year or so old. Her condition is very good.
