# 1~This Old House was a Stagecoach Stop

    Newer Older

This ole house once knew his children
This ole house once knew his wife
This ole house was home and comfort
As they fought the storms of life
This old house once rang with laughter
This old house heard many shouts
Now he trembles in the darkness
    When the lightnin' walks about

Robert, I love this picture and tried to find it this weekend. Found Emma, touched every road, street, dirt road, etc. I could find between Emma and Juno, Emma and Amaicalola Falls, and points east and west and could not find it. Found a home that vaguely resembled it that had recently burned down...hope that was not it. Spoke with 5-6 people and showed them the photo...no luck. Found a resident at Emma...said he has lived there all his life and never seen it. So (hoping that is was not the one that burned) can you give me a lat/long or additional information about the location? I also have some old house/building shots but not all posted on flickr...but yours takes the cake! very nice. thanks

Thank you wetland, the house don't look like this from the road you have to walk down to the house. What i call Emma is the Texaco station, go west from there and it's on the left in a field with a keep out sign and a cable across the driveway and the barn is beside it, if you go to Hwy 136 that turnes of to the left, you missed it, turn around and go over the hill and it on the right

I love it, looks very inviting still, imagine waking up with all that greenery over the windows, wonderful.
