      "It's Velveeta...versus cheddar....our Velveeta...melts much better!"

Hehe. Yea, I remember the jingle scarily enough. LOL Cool shot, Allen!

My family called it "the scrapings off the floor in cheese factories." Same goes for Cheez Whiz...

The only thing it was almost acceptable in was in tomato soup.

the ultimate rainbow trout bait here in san diego....problem was you'd eat 3/4 of it by noon.

Is the cheese (I use that term loosely) still in there? I bet that stuff has an awesome shelf life! ;-)

Well. It IS made from milk so it must be good? I remember the wacky packages spoof on this: Valve-eater. Think they were reaching a bit. Anybody else remember wacky packages?

I worked in a cheese factory in the early 1970s. I never scraped the floor for the curds... However, I cannot speak for those times when I wasn't at work. The dried whey made great natural cheese curls (cheetos) without the addition of more salt and flavorings.

Great catfish bait, too. Had to use a treble hook though, they could suck it off a regular hook without getting caught.

Notice the address: Zone 90, ILL, instead of IL. ZIP code was started in July, 1963.

You are right... unless it was a grilled Velveeta sandwich--that was truly good when it was really warm and gooey. Velveeta's special place: FONDUE!

GUFFAW! Very cheesey but very good!

This package is before I became familiar with the product. Don't believe I've ever seen this.
