We'd love to have this and other nature photos from your photo stream in the Encyclopedia of Life Images group. Images from this group are harvested regularly to illustrate the pages of the Encyclopedia of Life project. EOL needs images for all 1.9 million known species, and every image helps!

What an amazing photo! The colors, textures, and pattern are outstanding. Nature may have created this beautiful starfish, but you did a great job capturing that beauty.

Hi Richard, where have you gone. This is a nice shot

Hi Bill, thanks for asking, and indeed for even noticing I was gone! :-) Basically I found having a 6-month-old is not compatible with Flickr (or indeed just about anything else for that matter, including diving and photography!)

I also got a bit pissed off with the changes at Flickr and have been wondering about moving to an alternative. I just checked in just now for old times' sake. Good to see some familiar faces are still around (including yours) and apparently persisting with the new design!

Richard Ling Hi Richard yes still here! Not smart enough to move on to other media :-) have learnt to adapt to flickr changes, and have introduced fellow divers to it who are enjoying it. Little ones do change your life for the better even though it doesn't feel like that. My baby is now 20 still the same never really changes. The eldest in Canada living with boy friend the youngest with his mate and girl friend living a few k's away in Wollongong having a great time but time is still trouble some all the same. You still diving?
