Sea Lion Hide and Seek
One of the very best parts of visiting the Galapagos Islands is the fact that the animals aren't afraid of people. Almost every time you're on one of the islands, you can stop right next to a group of birds, or a marine iguana, or a sea lion, and watch them up close. Sea lions - especially the young ones - tend to be curious and playful, and it's really fun when they take notice of you and start to interact.
This photo was taken on North Seymour Island on the last day of my trip. I spent a while with this guy, who reminded me of my dog Jake. When I'm around sea lions I'm always struck by the way they look and act so much like dogs.
