Evening traffic on I-93, north of Boston

Driving north on I-93 as you get close to the Middlesex Fells there's a little tower you can see poking up out of the trees up on a hill to the left of the road. I often wondered what was up there and on Sunday evening I went wandering into the woods to find out. Turns out to be not very exciting - the tower is locked (at least in the evening), but the views back over Boston are pretty nice.

There were a few other people up there enjoying the view, but they all sensibly headed down before it got too dark. I was distracted taking long exposures and suddenly realized the sun had set an hour earlier and it was pretty dark. Finding my way back to the road was a bit of an adventure; as soon as I left the hilltop and got into the forest there was basically no light at all. Recommendations: Next time take a head torch. Or don't go into the woods by yourself at night.
