      This is the garden of David Fishman on Mercer Island. He is very meticulous about slug/snail control and has a most impressive selection of hostas and shade perennials.

      I drop-kick the snails. My husband is always horrified.

      I toss them into the street, where they are run over and/or eaten by crows.

      I would love to have a garden similar to yours, but I have a huge rabbit problem. How do you keep the rabbits from eating your hostas?
