Day 121 of 365 - Demon bokeh...
This is something you don't see everyday :) This is a miniature of a face mask used in Devil Dances back home in Sri Lanka. They are usually done by superstitious villagers to ward off evil spirits which, they believe, cause ailments. This particular mask is called "Maura Raksha" or Peacock Demon.
I have 2 other masks (different ones) and the initial idea was to show them as a group with 2 of the masks providing the bokeh background. But I realised I have been doing very similar shots lately (here, here, here and here). Looking around, I found a rug which sort of resembled the colours of the mask so used that for the bokeh background.
