Twelve Days of Christmas (Day 11) 2012 ** EXPLORE No. 1 **
About two weeks ago, I decided to post Twelve images of the Golden Gate Bridge in the spirit of the Holidays, and by Christmas. Two days ago, I was two images short (no not really, but play along). So, I woke up early yesterday (12/23) and ran out into the cold and rain. I know, what was I thinking? I got out of a warm bed for this?! When I got to Fort Point at the Presidio, it was pretty wet and gloomy. This was the morning scene when I arrived; it was during the peak of high tide and the wind helped carry massive waves deep into the parking area, the most water I've ever seen on the foreground. Surprisingly to me, I wasn't the first one there, there was another fella shooting already.. what was HE thinking? What's his story? Later, I recognized the other guy to be fellow flickr bud Steve Hornstra. We had a wonderful time.. getting wet, running from waves, constantly wiping our filters, and trying to stay warm at the same time! To me, these moments are some of the Joys of Christmas that I'll remember for a very long time.
Merry Christmas Everyone!
