It's been a week since that 8.9 magnitude earthquake and tsunami hit Japan.
When I woke up and my mom told me "There's been an earthquake in Japan" at first I thought "No problem, there are always earthquakes in Japan, so they are fully prepared". But when I saw the news in the net I was totally horrified and awfully worried. I couldn't believe it, and when I saw the images and videos of the tsunami devastating whole cities I was totally without words and tears came to my eyes.
I've been watching the TBS and the NHK through Ustream these days, and reading the news on Kyodo News. I felt so helpless for all the victims, but I knew there was one thing I could do: I could make a donation.
I don't have much money because I'm unempoyed, but I wanted to help, so my boyfriend and I decided to make a donation for Japan through the Spanish Red Cross.
I know Japan will recover, because they're a strong country. But I know it will be a long way to go, so I want to cheer them up from Spain!
頑張れ日本！Ganbare Nippon! Be strong!
