21 November - MISSION #148 Railway bridge at Neiweid, Germany... 14.00 tons of bombs dropped.

 

This was a Pathfinder mission.

 

Lt's Kirby, Dahl, Johnson, Hurley, Morgan, and Brown ships were damaged by flak.

 

Captain Harper's airplane received a direct hit by flak and burst info flames.

 

No one saw any chutes.

 

Captain Harper was leading the second box.

 

This was a great loss to the Squadron.
