Submergence...

As the sun goes down, so does the Nautilus and the Monorail whizzes by as a mere streak of light.

Taken along side Gregg Cooper, Ryan Pastorino, Corey Dorsey and Bill McIntosh on our little photo journey throughout Disneyland. I decided to take my lagoon shot along a different path than theirs and go with a more etherial feel to it. It wasn't easy submerging a submarine, so I hope you like it.

Nice saturated colors and something that looks part flare part reflections.

That looks sweet. I really like the blurred effect of the monrail with the lights going through it. I think it's great how so many creative minds can create totally different shots in the exact same location. Well done my firend!

Thanks. For some reason it never occured to me to capture the subs or the monorail as a good clean still shot. All of mine were long exposure and everything was just blurs. Once I saw everyone elses I was disappointed because mine wouldn't be that way. I tried blending some of them and wasn't happy so finally I decided to embrace the difference and go with that.

Mike, I'm glad you decided to post yours. I think it looks great. You captured some great colors, and capturing the monorail as a streak of light adds a sense of motion, life. As much as I wanted to freeze some of the elements like the monorail and subs, I wish I had taken this approach somewhere in there too, like Gregg who took the best of both worlds.

The monorail looks so ghostly! And great job with the submarine actually COMPLETELY submerged. The whole shot is great!

The more I look at this, the more I like it. The title really does say it all.
