Google Maps' imagery for Mueller is pretty old

    Newer Older

As of this writing, Google Maps' satellite imagery for the Mueller site predates the reconstruction.

By comparison, Yahoo Maps' imagery is fairly recent.

Hmm -- looks like Google Maps' imagery for downtown shows the Frost Bank tower as a construction site. At least I think that's right. Anybody remember the Frost Bank construction timeline well enough to date that shot?

Idea: maybe Google could have a way for users to flag locations that have changed a lot and make them a priority for updates?

Bookmarked it as an example here in Tagzania:

It's like Flickr, but instead of tagging and saving images, you tag and save locations. Can be also used collaboratively if people's shares a tag as in www.tagzania.com/tag/firstkiss

      Cheers!

Those are newer ones, believe it or not. Last time I checked the images of the area, there were tons of cars parked in the parking lot near the tower!
