Quarter-Century LL Bean "Woodsman Chukka" Boots 20100522
I have had these L.L. Bean boots since college, so I estimate they are a quarter-century old. Talk about quality: the insides started wearing down only last year. I checked the L.L. Bean website and very unfortunately, it appears you cannot get these any longer. I would love to get another pair.
This shot was taken with the Carl Zeiss 85mm. Indirect light through the door window.
LL Bean PR asked the LL Bean Archives folks, who said that these were called the "Woodsman Chukka" boots. Here is what they said: "This boot was called the "Woodsman Chukka" ... from the Fall 1985 catalog: It is lined with Ensolite foam for warmth. Full grain leather uppers specially treated with silicone tanning. Full glove leather linings and leather covered innersoles breathe to keep the foot dry. Watertight injection molded rubber compound soles are light in weight and flexible."
