Armchair Traverse - June 30 2019
Caroline and I scrambled the Armchair Traverse, which consists of the ridgeline between Cook, and the NW ridge of Mount Weart in the Wedgemount Lake area. There was a dusting of new snow which made the scrambling slightly trickier. Aside from some looser rock at the start of the traverse, I thought this was a really fun route (there are some exposed sections, nothing hard but I'll call this a 4th class route). We needed the ice axe for a short section of snow on the ridge. There were still patches of snow between the upper basin and the lake which helped with the descent. Round trip from the car was just over 12 hours for us.
