298/365 - Inspired by the Flickr Blog

All I did with this in Photoshop was clean up a few bubbles on the black background really.

I used my Nikkor 105mm macro lens for this, so these are really quite small.

This morning I saw this on the Flickr Blog blog.flickr.net/en/2012/07/05/vessels-and-blooms/ and thought I'd have a bit of fun with this seeing as it's another wet day! I then came across Corrie White's photostream and her fantastic tutorials here www.flickr.com/photos/10756887@N07/sets/72157613369221788/ I enjoyed doing this, but have to cart my little fish tank up and down the ladder to my mezanine floor studio space which wasn't ideal! I got a bit tired of that… Then the batteries on one of my flashes died so I decided to leave it for today.

To do this I used cream in a little dropper. With my two Yongnuo YN560s I had one low to the left with a pringle can snoot and blue gel, then the second was right overhead with a pink gel and a little softbox on it. Fired with Yongnuo wireless trigger. I'll be looking at this further and I'm particularly inspired by what Corrie does, make sure to check out her photostream. Thanks Corrie!!!

Definitely worth a go. I like the fact that nobody could ever get the same image twice.

Beautiful. I like the first lonely ones. Great minimalism. I love looking at these. Like smoke under water. I like how they swirl around, etc. I have 15 steps to the laundry tub to clean my tank. It's a lot of work, but sometimes I can't stop because the next one might be the best ever, lol. Awesome work.
