Water beats Stone

I was standing about 10 or 12 feet above the water in this one, watching the waves pound against the rocks.
I could see where the water has erroded the stone over time creating an overhang.
When I look at this I don't get the feeling that the image was taken from high up, when you stand there looking down it seems very high up.
Any tips on how to capture that feeling with a camera? Maybe if I'd got my feet in it to give scale?!
