derailment of engine 751, 13 of 17

These photographs were taken by train Engineer George Birdsall in the 1940s. He worked for the Jersey Central Lines (CNJ), also called Jersey Central and Central Railroad of New Jersey. Photos include Engine 751 that crashed, and Engine 772 at the Spring Lake, New Jersey Station. (dated Aug. 22, 1941) Included are photos of engines 755, 178, 627, 157, and Diesel Engine 1507. Most of these engines seem to be 4-6-0 "Camelbacks".
