Detroit Fire Department

I went to Detroit with an enormous curiosity to know what life was like in a city that 50 years ago had almost 2,000,000 inhabitants and today has just 714,000 dwellers- I was aware of the fact of the fires, but this short work came unexpectedly up after a chat with a fireman. It is part of a wider work about the city (that I'll post here soon) and portrays a harsh reality of a city going through a crisis. I'm thankful to all Engine 31 Squad 4 crew, in particular to Arn, Eddy and Tom, who were very friendly and helpful for the attainment of this story.
