Got a little bit caught out by this one and I wasn’t prepared, hence some burning out of the sky.

I was waiting for 6C53 Crewe - Sellafield flasks, and as I was walking from Seascale to the beach at Sellafield I heard this train behind me.

It’s the 7C something-or-other and consists of 11 PFAs hauled by Class 57 No.57009.

This train is the empty return of a short-hop Sellafield - Drigg nuclear waste working.

Drigg is the home of the Low-Level Waste Repository where containers of LLW are stored before being buried in concrete vaults.
