'Unplaces VI', Cambridgeshire, UK
And that's a wrap. This is the final image from an evening of photography in an area full of 'unplaces'. I liked this scene at the time because I find my eye is drawn to uncomplicated (boring?) compositions. The grass in the bottom L gives a sense of place: a suburban wasteland. The clean fence on top of wooden blocks gives me a sense of man's interference on the landscape, and the blue hue of the lights over the fence gives me the sense of intrigue... what's going on over there?!!!
I hope you have enjoyed them- some of the comments from you have been fantastic, so thank you for those.
Eventually I plan to continue this idea in other areas, so watch out! Do come back tomorrow and see the first in what I think is an interesting series of monochrome images from a different location.
Thanks again for all your kind words over the past few weeks and months... any critique (please be constructive!) is always welcome as well.
