NYTimes.com animated graphic: How Different Groups Voted
Artists Shan Carter and Amanda Cox created this impressive interactive chart that appeared on the front of NYTimes.com on the last day of the long 2008 Democratic Party Primary Campaign. It's a subtle yet adept use of animation and information design to translate a mountain of data into an easy-to-follow statistical narrative.
I wrote a little bit more about it on my blog.
