The Adventures of Sam Shoegum
The Grumbel Brothers introduce Mama to their dinner guest.
"He's a good man, Mama. He fished better than us, and he offered his fish for our dinner, so it was only right to invite him here." Barney tries to explain to Mama why there is an extra place being set at the table.
"You boys are always up to something," Mama replied. "I send you to do a little fishing, and you bring back a fisherman. Can't you do anything right? Boys these days!"
"Aw, Mama, we tried really hard, but this guy, and," turning to Sam says, "by the way what was your name again? I keep forgetting."
Sam takes a gulp. He had said the name as a cover, but now can't seem to remember it! He has to think fast on his feet. "My name is not one you usually run across," Sam began.
"Speaking of not usual," Mama interrupted, "but you boys forgot to take your hats off when you came into the building. Again! What's wrong with you? Didn't you learn your lesson growing up?"
