PZ Myers 003

If you got here from Conservepedia then you should know I think very highly of PZ Myers and think very lowly of conservative agendas. To quote Carl Sagan, "what are the conservatives conserving?"

Ignorance and the self interests of big money, if you ask me.

Don't worry, Conservapedia's article is so idiotic that I think most people read it as parody. I think it's flattering, both for PZ and for you, to be targeted by that bunch of bigoted ignorants.

BTW, very nice pic! I would have loved to be there!

Thanks. My main problem is to do with the photo being used not in the context I would like it to; Conservapedia is abusing my not conservative views, the views that make me license my photos under the Creative Commons license, in order to promote their conservative agenda (as foolish as it may be).

sara prieto puy Spot on about the parody - also a very good example of how to use statistics to show what you want...

As for atheism, my favourite was when Vonnegut took over from Asimov as head of the US Atheist society and started with "Issac's in heaven now"

I wouldn't worry too much. If people actually follow Conservapædia's arguments it's only going to damage their own brains. Really, when the opposition has to resort to, "Well, you're fat!" you can pat them on the shoulder and simply hope they don't break down in tears in front of you.

The professor said, "I don’t object to bestiality in a very limited set of specific conditions". How very liberal. By setting up a "limited set of specific conditions", is he not being implicitly judgmental of those who operate outside the boundaries he has constructed? By what moral tradition are his boundaries derived?

Also, you come upon an academic who is sexually abusing an animal, please report it here:
