Highlight of the Day: Estelle's.
Marge and I drove to Wicker Park. We originally planned to attend the Rehab DJ party at Debonair Social Club, but it was already late. Instead, we went to Estelle's for cheap PBRs and Jameson, and (to my surprise) Broken Social Scene's You Forgot It In People playing in their jukebox.
The bar was almost empty, save for a few regular patrons watching Adult Swim on their TVs. I introduced Marge to Broken Social Scene's "Anthems for a Seventeen-Year-Old Girl," planned loosely our friend's bachelor party the next day, and proceeded to send Erick angry (although not serious) text messages.
Here, in the alley next to Estelle's, we talked to this elderly dood who apparently knew the original "Estelle" and was giving away free balloons for whatever reason. Also, who knew they were making a real-life action movie of the anime, Blood?
Oh, we also ran into the "Tamale Guy." Chicago barflies know who I'm talking about...
