Tree Hugger 8

    Prev Next

I'm just learning how to crochet, but I made it up as I went along! "Tree Hugger" was made for Jumpers and Jazz in July, a textile arts festival in Warwick, QLD, Australia. The deciduous trees in the CBD of the town are dressed in colourful textile creations (or "jumpers" - Australian for sweaters) for the duration of the mid-winter festival.

      Fantastic !
I love your colours on this one as well, makes me want to hug it right now.
You've turned crocheting from a craft to a form of art, great idea.
So I hear you're having an extra hot summer down under, I'm ready to trade you for tall snowbanks and frigid temps !

thanks Lindsey, it was fun to make - and also challenging because I didn't really know what I was doing, which might be obvious if you look closely!
We've only had a few extremely hot days where we are so far, but I hear there are more coming soon. And it never snows here, so I'm a little jealous of your snowbanks (I know I wouldn't cope for long with them, though!)
