1920's view of Main Street 600 & 700 block - Lynchburg, Virginia

This is a rare view of buildings on the north side of Main Street's 700 block (foreground), and 600 block (background), all of which have been demolished. In the distance at the far left is the corner of the Academy Theater in the 500 block, which still stands today.

Many have been thrown by Reams Furniture sign seen on the corner building here, mistakenly believing that this places the photo in the 900 block of Main, however, Reams had two locations along Main at the time, one at 924 Main, and the other at 620 Main (one storefront west of the corner building with the sign seen here).
