filming Star Trek - Desilu Stage 9 Blueprints - September 1967

The Stage 9 "Master Plan" for the classic Star Trek second season episode, "Journey to Babel," filmed in late September 1967. These blueprints, drawn by Star Trek's art director Matt Jefferies, include the standing interior sets of the U.S.S. Enterprise, including the bridge, the transporter room, the engineering section, Dr. McCoy's medical complex, the briefing room (re-dressed here as the "recreation room"), the captain's quarters (which is re-dressed twice for this episode), the brig, and the long, curved segment of the ship's corridor.

a larger version of these blueprints will soon be posted to my "vintage" Star Trek page at www.retroweb.com/startrek.html

scanned from a collection of blueprints purchased in the mid-1970's from Lincoln Enterprises, Gene Roddenberry's and Majel Barrett's mail-order catalog company associated with the series.

Fantastic! I saw of model of this set a few weeks ago at the science fiction museum in Seattle. Pictures were not allowed and the few I snuck came out badly but this blueprint and the model really allow one to appreciate both the clever and rather confined space that made up the set for the expansive appearing television experience of the Enterprise. My sincere thanks for this posting!!
