Cortinarius caperatus

Cortinarius caperatus (Pers.) Fr.

 

 

formerly known as Rozites caperatus, it's finally been confirmed to belong to the Cortinarii. I'd never seen this mushroom before because we don't have dark coniferous forests around here, but recognized it straight away because of its stature, color, wrinkled cap and collar-like ring.
