Sunset Panorama at San Buenaventura State Beach, Oxnard, California

    Newer Older

I took my memory card out and didn't put it back in. So when I rushed out of the house with the kids, it was left in the card reader. That meant I only had the memory in the camera and was relegated to shooting only 3 megapixel images. Such a shame. It was an amazing sunset tonight.

      respres,

In the same sunset series, this is the 2nd one I like the most. Good structure with the cloud and the color in the 16:9 aspect ratio.

Is this several pictures stitched together?

I think it is stitched. I believe that I can see a small stitch error half way across. Very good effort at stitching waves though (assuming that it is stitched).

I'm removing it from Perfect Panoramas though: not because of the stitch error which is pretty small, but because of no "perfect panoramas" tag or other indication about stitching.

Patrick, you are correct. It is definitely stitched. I could only shoot in 3 megapixels and had no tripod with me. So, I used Calico on the Mac to stitch this one together. This is just two photos stitched.
