Heeia Fish Pond Update and Law Schools Partnership
Last year, Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard helped to secure permits to repair the retaining wall at historic Paepae o He’eia Fish Pond. Today, she received an update from the staff and volunteers who are making it happen. While at the fish pond, the congresswoman conducted a meeting with leadership from Jindal Global University Law School (JGULS) and UH Richardson Law School (UHRLS) to discuss educational partnership, India-Hawaiʻi ties, and opportunities to increase exchange efforts. Participants included JGULS Assistant Dean for International Collaborations Kalyani Unkule, UHRLS Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs Denise Antolini, and UHRLS Dean Avi Soifer.
