Variable Groundsnake-Sonora semiannulata semiannulata and Western Side-blotched Lizard-Uta stansburiana elegans

An interesting observation. This first caught my eye when I saw the side-blotched lizard moving from a short distance away. When I looked over, I noticed the groundsnake coming from the crack. Upon further inspection, it appeared the crack did not go back very deep into this rock. I believe this normally fossorial snake was out foraging along the cracks looking for insects to eat. It was probably the largest groundsnake I have seen.
