Rose Chairs Homeland Security Field Hearing on Counterterrorism Efforts in New York City
Congressman Max Rose, Chair of the House Homeland Security Subcommittee on Intelligence and Counterterrorism, held a Field Hearing at Staten Island Borough Hall titled “Local Efforts to Counter the Terror Threat in New York City: A Retrospective and a Roadmap.”
Rose was joined by Congressman Mark Walker (R-N.C.), the Ranking Member of the Subcommittee, Congressman Peter King (R-N.Y.), Congresswoman Yvette Clarke (D-N.Y.), and Congressman Bill Pascrell (D-N.J.). The Field Hearing’s witnesses were John Miller, Deputy Commissioner for Intelligence & Counterterrorism, New York Police Department (NYPD); Thomas Currao, Chief of Counterterrorism, Fire Department New York (FDNY), and Louis Klock, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
