Australia's national flower - the Wattle_Morialta_Adelaide_April 2010_DSC_9346_2_D
This is a wattle flower at the Morialta Conservation Park in Adelaide. It is Australia's national flower and is why Australian sporting teams always compete in green and gold. There are a multitude of varieties and they say there is wattle flowering somewhere in Australia throughout the year. A majority would flower in spring, but this one is flowering in April (Autumn here).
