Wijaya Kusuma Flower is Queen of the Night

Wijaya Kusuma flowers is very exotic and really beautiful when it was bloomed....

Wijaya Kusuma or Epiphyllum oxypetalum (Dutchman's Pipe, kardable, Night Queen or निशागंधी Nishagandhi or Gul-e-Bakawali) is a species of cactus and one of the most cultivated species in the genus.

The Wijaya Kusuma flower only bloomed several times(starting from evening and peak bloom on 12.00 pm) and not all Wijaya Kusuma could blossom easily, depended on the climate, the fertility of the land and the maintenance method. Generally the cactus kind was difficult to be determined by his morphology, but Wijaya Kusuma could be seen clearly which leaves part and which one of his stem part, after this crop in maturity state. The tree trunk Wijaya Kusuma in fact was formed from the sheet of the leaves that hardened and became smaller. The sheet of the leaves was thin and flat, was green with the surface of the fine leaves was not thorny, it is another matter with cacti generally. To each edge of the leaves Wijaya Kusuma was gotten indentations that were overgrown the leaves bud or the flower.
