      do you have any idea of the meaning of the signs that the kid is doing with her fingers ?? that is an C and an V those are the initials of the boggest criminal faction , the Red Comando ( Comando Vermelho)
      i guess for most of the people here your picture shows innocence , but for us from rio , we see that this innocence is lost ...

      your city maybe the most beautiful i've seen, but it also maybe the most dangerous (the only place where someone managed to steal something from me... it was my D70...)
      I love Rio...
      incredible city!!!
      about the treatment, this is Ilford B&W film processed in my dark room then scanned, very few photoshop just to put the right amount of black...

      thanks for the attention ... your pictures are really great ... i am a begginer ... acctualy i havent tryed film cameras yet but i am looking fowerd to buy one now , so i can learn how to deal with film , the pictures look much nicier with films tham the digitals !!! congratulations !! and if you ever came back to rio we might take some shots around !!

      sorry for your camera , but its true , its very dangerou here specialy for turists ... i ve heard the same history more then hundred times ... people that travels all over and were stolen only in rio , its sad ...

      Wonderful photo, and excellent background info provided by Gabriel Stefanini. It's such a jarring sight to see such sweet happy children throwing gang signs, but from what I have heard this is simply the truth about Rio.

      I like so much this album of South-America with these sweet children in the street.
      However in Brazil many kids are unhappy, drugged, abusec, exploited and kills by special commando for empty Brazil of these thiefs and loutish...:(((((((((
