Career Day 10/27/17
On October 27th, Renbrook held our 2nd annual Alumni Career Day for 8th and 9th graders. We had four alumni who were excited to come back and talk with students. The goals of the program were to give students a look at some careers and career paths, to show them the (sometimes curvy) road to a career, and to instill a sense of being a part of a community bigger than the students and faculty they see here every day. The alums visiting were Trace Alford ’82
who is currently a resident chef at Sur La Table, Mike Bogino ’99 who is a Manufacturing Manager of the Pressure Relief division of The Lee Company in Westbrook, CT. Renbrook was also honored to have Peter Britton ’55 who started Brick Ends Farm in South Hamilton, MA. His farm has grown into a major commercial organic compost maker. Finally, we had Eunice Groark ’50 who in 1991 was elected as Connecticut’s Lieutenant Governor. The first woman to hold this office in our state, Eunice served for four years with Governor Lowell Weicker.Eunice will receive the Distinguished Alumni Award on Saturday, Oct. 28 at the Alumni Day luncheon.
