東海道歴史の旅
This set documents my travels along the historic old Tōkaidō road that linked the imperial capital of Kyoto with the shogun’s capital of Edo (present-day Tokyo). This was the most important east-west highway in Japan during the Edo period (1603-1868) and during its heyday, 53 post towns were stretched along the way.
