Fruit of the Soil
I love seeing produce fresh and in the raw when it's at it's peak, like these potatoes (apparently not "ready" yet, like some other carrots as big as my forearm and a turnip bigger than my double-fist). I did get a little weary of the "holier than thou" attitude of the farmer running our tour of the commune-esque Whole Village biodynamic farm out in Caledon, ON. I can appreciate the greatness in theory of a totally whole-nature approach to producing, using only what you have and not bringing in outside "helpers", but don't tell me everything else is garbage because it's not your way. And don't decide to discontinue the tastiest veggies of the lot because they don't make enough "good" ones to sell. People won't buy food that tastes like cardboard either... especially when you're charging 150% more than the local ORGANIC farmers' markets!
