Himeji Castle

Also known as the White Heron Castle for its white exterior. I immediately thought it was the opposite of Matsumoto Castle (which is known as the Crow Castle because of its black exterior).

This castle in Himeji, Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan is both a national treasure and world heritage site. Amazingly, it was never destroyed by war, fire, or earthquake.
