Mathmagician of the damned
Geoff came by today to get a portrait taken to accompany an article in Science Magazine about the Grad School ranking site that he runs. I made a blackboard last night out of chalk board paint and a foam core board Dustin and I bought at Flax art store. Geoff then wrote math on it. :) We took some more normal looking shots, but this one was meant as more 'mad scientist' style.
Strobist info: Nikon SB900 with 1/2 CTO gel on 1/2 power bouncing in a 60 inch softlighter about 2 ft from Geoff's head camera left. One Nikon SB900 with red gel through a grid spot on 1/8 at 200mm pointed at the chalkboard about 8ft camera right. Everything triggered by pocket wizard II's.
Camera info: ISO 50, 50mm, f/4.5, 1/200 sec.
